15 days more to reach ramadhan months. Masha Allah time is going so fast. May Allah make us as His slave of ramdhan this year ameen.
Talking about ramadhan is something that we already know since in a primary school. But do we know the meaning of ramadhan by heart? Do we really understand the definition from quran?
There is something interesting that I want to share based on Brother Nouman Ali Khan lecture. If you want to watch the video, Welcome yo ramadhan
The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. Al-Baqarah: 185
Ramadhan is actually a month where al-quran was revealed. Based on the ayat above it means al-quran was revealed as a guidance to human being irrespective whoever you are and a clear proofs of guidance and criterion. Allah really emphasise about al-quran in the month of ramadhan and we should take this month seriously to reflect the quran.
The aim of ramadhan is to gain taqwa. Taqwa is something in the heart that an individual can feel it personally. So how to gain taqwa? By fasting. Ramadhan and fasting are two different terms. Fasting is a physically training to human to be strong inside where we should refrain ourselves from eating, drinking, and many things. The 30-day- training is something that Allah wants to prepare us to be tough so that we could live as a people of guidance during the remaining 11 months. However we should make use of the month wisely, which means we have to gain the taqwa to be able to be His guided slave.
May Allah make us as a people of guidance:) ameen
